I haven’t always been someone who is well versed in science or even a science supporter. I grew up in a homogenous place that was also conservatively religious. Now, I’m bashful to say that for my first voting experience in the federal elections, I voted conservative. Not now and never again.
Religion, never again.
Heck, I was even religious for my late teen years and up until my mid to late twenties. But thankfully that wore off before my thirties and I’ve spent the past decade becoming a better (read: more educated) person. Pair my aging with my education and now I’m a full blown skeptical nihilist atheist. Yay! Unfortunately I never did well in science in school, which I know now says less about me as person and more about the social situation I was in at the time. So now I’m here to make up for lost time. Yay!
